Are you passionate about financial markets, data analysis, and making impactful decisions? BD Energy is looking for an ambitious and driven individual to join our team of traders. As a Power Trader, you’ll be at the forefront of optimizing energy trades across various markets, working with cutting-edge analytical tools, and developing trading strategies to capitalize on short-term opportunities in the power market.

If you have a background in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar, along with strong programming and Excel skills, we encourage you to apply. We’re looking for individuals who strive to be the best, can quickly analyze large amounts of data, and have a trader’s mindset for making fast, informed decisions.

Power Trader

In this role, you’ll actively contribute to both the team’s success and the company’s growth by developing analytical tools for fundamental data analysis and enhancing our ability to forecast market movements. Your insights and actions will directly influence trading decisions, driving the success of the team and the business as a whole.

With a focus on collaboration and continuous learning, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your trading skills while working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. As part of our 24/7 shift rotation, you’ll also play a critical role in ensuring efficient trading operations around the clock.

Responsibilities

Develop analytical tools for fundamental data analysis
Trading across markets, optimizing the short end of the forward power curve
Develop and act on new and current trading strategies
Actively pursue knowledge to develop the team’s ability to forecast
Participating in our shift rotation 24/7

Qualifications

Preferably have an educational background in either Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar
Have strong programming skills and profound experience in Excel
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Strive to always be the best
You have an interest in financial markets, data analysis, sports betting, computer science, data science, or similar
