As a Quantitative Analyst
As a quantitative analyst with BD Energy, your primary focus is to develop algorithmic trading strategies and help traders by structuring and gathering an extensive amount of data that can be used for solid decision-making in the everchanging power market. Other roles include developing and implementing risk management and forecasting models. Ultimately, your contributions will drive increased trading efficiency and more effective energy distribution throughout Europe.
Responsibilities
Your role encompasses a range of dynamic responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Developing algorithmic trading strategies, risk management tools, and dynamic valuation models
- Developing quantitative analyses that draw from both your intuition and insights from key stakeholders
- Ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of performance metrics
- Actively pursuing knowledge to elevate the entire team’s forecasting capabilities
- Engaging in various ad-hoc quantitative tasks
Qualifications
To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess:
- A Master or PhD in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields
- Proficiency in Python although experience in other languages (R, SQL, C#, VBA, etc. ) is a plus
- Have strong mathematics and statistical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-energy, time sensitive team environment.
- Curious mindset and interest in financial markets and data analysis
- Experience with machine learning or predictive modelling is a plus
